In recent months Apple have begun to implement their force touch technology into their device line-up. We have already seen it in the Apple Watch and some of the new MacBooks and it seems that we will be seeing it in the next iPhone.
If you don’t already know force touch is essentially a pressure sensor under the display that can tell how hard you are pushing down on the display. This means that you will be able to push harder on the screen to view an options menu in a similar way to right clicking on a PC.
We have expected that this would be in the next iPhone for a while now but a recent increase in reports allows us to be fairly sure that we will see this in the next increment of Apples flagship mobile device.
This force touch technology will allow developers to do a lot more and it will be very interesting to see what they do with it.
