Basically The iPad air has the design that we expected to see on the iPad 5 and essentially it is the iPad 5. Apple decided to change its name because it is the first iPad to have a noticeable change in design. The iPad air has very similar design to the iPad mini but with a bigger screen. Apple called it the “biggest step yet”. The iPad air measures in at just 7.5mm which is 20% thinner that the previous iPad and it ways just 1 pound.
The iPad air is becoming more and more capable of doing what your desktop can do. It now supports an A7 chip similar to the iPhone 5S and of course it runs in 64-bit meaning that it will be able to handle much more demanding applications.
The new iPad is 72x faster that the original iPad which is an impressive feet.
The iPad Air also features a 5-megapixel iSight camera, a 1080p front-facing camera with better low-light performance, Siri, dual-microphones and more. As for battery life we will likely see around 10 hours.
